Step 1 — Pre-Service Calibration Check — Initial performance verification before any work begins.
Step 2 — Internal Inspection — Equipment is checked internally for damage, loose electrical connections, or foreign material. Covers are refitted after cleaning.
Step 3 — External Inspection — Housing is checked for damage, inoperative switches, frozen leveling feet, and poorly adjusted tare bars. Old stickers removed, housing cleaned.
Step 4 — Error Correction — Corner load, linearity, and calibration errors are corrected to obtain optimum performance.
Step 5 — Performance Verification — A standard value is applied to the instrument and its response is observed, adjusted via internal controls, and correction factors are calculated.
Step 6 — Service Sticker & Report — A service sticker is attached with the service and calibration report numbers, service date, and next recommended maintenance date. A full Calibration Report is issued.
