Barcol Impresser Hardness Tester is used for testing the hardness of aluminum, aluminum alloys, fiber reinforced plastics (FRP), copper, brass and other rigid materials including plastics, fiberglass & FRP having hardness. Barcol Impresser is a portable, handheld, indentation hardness tester can be operated with no prior experience. Simply apply pressure against the instrument to drive the spring-loaded indenter point into the material. Indenter point must be perpendicular to the surface being tested. On very soft materials, the highest reading should be used since cold flow permits the spring loaded indenter point to continue penetration.
